Sakura stood before a dark gloomy forest. She slowly picked up her right foot but set it back down. This forest... I may never make it out alive... Sakura fought with her thoughts as her green eyes stared out before her through pink strands of her hair that fell from behind her headband. Sakura needed to get to the other side of this retched forest. Sakura pushed some strands of hair from her eyes and shoved them behind her ear.
Sakura let her hand fall to her kunai pouch and she slipped her hand inside and searched its contents. She pulled out a sharp jet black kunai and she held it out in front of her chest. It gleamed in the sunlight. She pulled her eyes away from the blade as she focused her eyes back to the forest in front of her. I have to do this...
Sakura re-lifted her foot from the soil and she walked forward into the forest. She lifted each foot carefully and quietly so nothing could possibly hear her from a little more than ten feet away. She breathed in deeply as she looked around her. The dark trees... the leaves above her, not letting much light onto the forest floor. I wish Kakashi-sensai, Sasuke, or even Naruto was here... Sakura thought as she held the kunai in-front of herself and waiting for anything to happen.
Something white on the ground caught her eyes. The green eyes gaze peeled away from the path in-front of her and to the white thing sticking up from the ground. Sakura slowly walked over to it and she knealed down by it. She examined it for a while and she came to the conclusion that it was a bone. Sakura sucked in a deep breath as she pulled her legs in-front of her body and curled into a small ball as she sat up staring at the bone.
Sakura managed to pull herself away from the object and she inched back to the path. She knealed down on the dirt and she gazed back to the bone. That could be me... Sakura shook the thought off as she sat on the path.

Toshiro leaned onto a thick oak tree's trunk, eyes shut as he concentrated. How many days had it been since he had entered the forest? Too many to count. And yet there he was. Alive. Luckily. And hungry. A hollow feeling gripped at his stomach. Several whispy tresses of his snow white hair fell into his eyes, or at least, what would have been his eyes, if they were open. His pale arms were folded over his chest. His somewhat wet clothing clinging to him as they dryed. Never again. he thought. Am I going to try to wade across a river like that... Images of himself being bowled over by rough waves filled his mind. Toshiro shuddered. Baka...
Another being's presence came to Toshiro's attention. He could feel them drawing closer, though they were still some ways away. Teal orbs shot open, widened, then narrowed back to slits as he tried to put a finger on the source of the strange aurora. Toshiro pushed off the tree briskly, and strapped Hyorinmaru to his back. Unfolding his arms, he set off in the direction of the aurora. Let's see what kind of idiot decided to enter this forest.. he thought, half of what he said tormenting himself. He had been an idiot too...Entering the forest and all.
Toshiro, swatted at various insects that flew around the forest, keeping them from his face. He had already swallowed several bugs, and didn't wish to swallow any more. It wasn't a pleasant taste. That it wasn't. He came to a small clearing and stopped dead in his tracks. Standing before him, was a light pink haired girl. The bearer of the aurora. This was what he had come to investigate..A girl? Probably lost her way..Baka...Silently, Toshiro slid Hyorinmaru from his sheath, and pointed his sword at an arm's length towards the girl.
What are you doing here? he said sharply, not caring if he startled the girl.
Toshiro had raised one eyebrow by now. A droplet of water slid off the end of his white hair and onto his cheek. It rolled down his pale skin, and dripped onto his white haori, leaving a wet trail everywhere it went. His teal eyes glistened in a stray beam of sunlight as he waited for a response. Toshiro took a step forwards, slowly and cautiously.

Sakura snapped back to attention as she heard something to the right of her. Her green eyes grew as she spotted a boy about her age pointing a sword right at her. Sakura flipped over to her bottom and she placed her hands behind her. She was now facing the boy completely. She slowly scooted backwards as he asked why she was in the forest. I.. I am here for a mission... But I have to get across the forest first! Sakura said as she stared up to the boy's face. She slowly scooted back towards a tree and she slid to a standing position.
Sakura was breathing deeply now as she looked at the boy with her green eyes glistening. Please don't kill me... I haven't done any thing... Sakura said as she pressed herself up against the tree's trunk. Her pink hair fell infront of her eyes. She offered the boy a small smile as her muscles tensed as she waited for a responce from him.

Toshiro lowered his sword some, allowing the sharp tip to touch the ground. The girl was facing him now. She looked suprised...Very suprised. Well what'd she expect? A fluffy bunny rabbit? A puppy? She's in the woods, nothing is "nice" all the time in such a place. he thought. Toshiro shook his head as the girl before him slid down to a sitting position. His teal eyes lost some of their hardened touch, now glistening in the sunlight. Sighing, he sheathed his blade, and stepped it.
The pink haired girl had backed herself up onto the tree. Was she begging him not to kill her? How pathetic..Yet she reminds me of Hinamori somehow... Toshiro was standing above the girl now. His hair and clothing had dried as well. The only sign that he had been soaked through and through, was the thin stain left on his cheek. Toshiro whiped it away with the back of his hand, finally opening his mouth to speak.
A mission, eh? Same...And I'm not going to kill you... Toshiro extended a hand slowly, unsure how the girl would react. She was smiling after all. A little odd..
Toshiro offered the girl somewhat of a smile, though it was unlike him to do so. His teal orbs widened a little, a strange glow filling them. Hinamori had always told him there was something strange about his eyes. When he was happy, they seemed to glow, and melt the ice that covered his emotions, inabling him to smile as often as one should. When he was angry...They seemed to turn to ice..Just like his emotions and zampakuto. Be he had always ignored her and said, "Baka, Momo. What are you talking about?" But perhaps this was what she had meant.Toshiro raised and eyebrow before speaking next.

Sakrua watched as the boy put his sword away. Good... Sakura thought as her mussles relaxed and she pushed her body from the trunk of the tree. She reached her hand up to her eyes and she pushed her pink hair from them. Her green eyes gazed at the boy as he offered her his hand. Sakura gently took it and she shook it. She then smiled up at him. Thank you...for not deciding to kill me... Sakua said and let out a small laugh.
She let go slowly of his hand. She then looked down at her own. She then looked back up to the boy as she offered him a small smile. My name is Sakura.And what is your name? Sakura asked while giving him a playful grin. She put her kunai back into her pouch as she waited for a responce.

I already told you, I'm not going to kill you.. Toshiro said, a sour tone in his voice.
Toshiro shook his head slightly, and pulled the pink haired girl to her feet. Sakura, eh? An interesting name...Though I understand where they got it from. Pink hair...Like cherry blossoms indeed. he thought, nodding as she released his grip. He folded his arms over his chest before speaking, white hair falling into his eyes.
Hitsugaya Toshiro. he said simply.
He would have given her his captain's name and all. Hitsugaya Toshiro, Captain of the 10th Division. But he doubted she even knew about Soul Society..Or the Court of Pure Souls..Or even what a Shinigami was for that matter. Heck, it was probably weird enough to see a kid walking around all high and mighty with a white haori with the number ten written across his back.
But then again, this girl didn't seem so average either. she was holding a strange knife. One that Toshiro hadn't really ever seen, only heard of. A kunai? Isn't that what Yamamato said they were called? he thought, trying to remember back into hsi days as a school boy. Even that seemed long ago to him now. Then there was that band she wore on her forhead. Emblazoned with metal and a strange symbol. Perhaps she was like him. From some sort of group...Perhaps they had something in common.

Sakura's bright green eyes scanned the area as she looked about the trees. She could sence something coming. Her eyes dirfted back up to Toshiro as he spoke of his name. Nice to meet you Toshiro... Sakura said as she gave him a smal bow. She came up from the bow and she let her eyes drift back to the forest around her. Her eyes flickered as she stepped infront of Toshiro to get a better look.
Sakura looked behind herself and to Toshiro. Do you sence something? I do... Sakura said as she snapped her head back around to face the forest. She then retightened her headband so that any stray hairs were back in their place. She adjusted the band so that it was tight and she looked about some more. Well do you? Sakura asked him.
Sakura heached her hand to her pouch and she pulled out a kunai. She was ready for anything that came at her.

That's Captain Hitsugaya to you.. a small voice rang out in his head, as usual. And Toshiro would have corrected the girl, Sakura, but what sort of difference would it make? She didn't really know much about him, and telling her he was some sort of captain could change everything they had just established. The last thing he needed. Right now, he was satisfied with being the same...The mention of sensing something...
Toshiro's small smile whiped clean off of his face. His teal orbs narrowed once more as he took a few steps forwards. Eyes darted beneath half closed lids, searching their surroundings. Why didn't I sense this earlier? he thought, mentally punishing himself for being so careless.
Yeah...I can sense it.. he said, slowly raising a hand to his zampakuto hilt.
Toshiro effortlessly pulled the blade from it's hilt. Let's go, Hyorinmaru. he thought, looking up the length of the blade ad he held it, tip pointing upwards, before his face. He released a wave of raitsu, half out of battle preparation, half out of trying to draw whatever it was to them. No point in searching for it. His dark clothing, and white haori fluttered in the mock breeze this had created. Hair tossing ever so slightly. His once bright, teal eyes faded to a dull, pale green as he did so. Battles always made him like this. Strict. Angry. Call it whatever you like. But one should expect as much from a Captain. Now where is it? Toshiro took a few more steps forwards. He was ready for whatever would come their way.
Keep your guard up...It'll be here soon. he said, casting a quick glance over to Sakura.

Sakura's small hand sweated around the kunai in it. She shifted her weight to her left foot as a small gust blew by. a gust of wind? in a forest? This can't be good... Sakura walked backwards towards Toshiro. She liked her lips as she looked around to the forest about her. I have a feelingthis thing is going to be big... Sakura said as she tossed her kunai to the her other hand. She looked over at Toshiro. Something had changed about his eyes. I am just imagining stuff...Saura said as she looked away from him. She then focused her chakara to surge throught her body as she looked down to her feet. Sakura slowly lifted her head back up as the chakara flowed throught her body.
Sakura looked over to Toshiro and opened her mouth to speak. I will look from the trees... Sakura said as she nodded to him and she turned to the tree behind them. She walked up to it's trunk and she walked up it and she stood on the lowest limb and looked down at toshiro. I don't see anything... Sakura said before she jumped back down to the forest floor. She then smiled at Toshiro before looking around again.

((IMade some edits..:D Both of them should get scratched..lol. Then Sakura can use that wonderful healing ability of hers.
Little keys: Shunpo= flash steps; a sort of speed move if you will.
Zampakuto= pretty much a soul slayer (like Toshiro) katana. ))
Toshiro nodded as Sakura stated she would look from the trees. A good idea. Then they would know what direction their opponant was coming from. His eyes narrowed a little as he watched her scale the side of the tree. An interesting ability.. he thought, noting once more that Sakura didn't seem to be just a regular girl...A sigh escaped him as she stated she couldn't see anything. This wasn't really much of a surprise. Most humans couldn't see the hollows..But yet she could see him. Strange.. A strange growl followed by a roar filled the air.
Toshiro's head snapped to the left, eyes focussing on a distant object. He let out somewhat of a laugh as he saw the hollow. It's pretty small......Scratch that...Big. he thought as the once small creature nearly tripled in size. It had four, massive legs. Large
muscles rippled beneath its black fur. Yellow eyes glowed from beneath a white mask with two horns protruding from the sides of its forehead. A large, mocking grin was permanently set upon the mask, giving the creature a maniacal look. A spined tail about the length of its body swayed side to side as it walked. Fangs the colour of polished ivory hung from the top of its mouth, a strange liquid that smelled of rotting flesh dripping from them all the time. Long claws a faint purple colour protruded from its massive paws each time a foot was placed on the ground. All in all, it looked like a demented dog of some sort. Poison? Toshiro thought, holding his breath before speaking.
Sakura, keep your eyes open! It's got poisoned fangs... he called to the girl above him.
Tightening his grip on his zampakuto, Toshiro swallowed hard. A battle in confined areas would be hard enough. Anyone who was experienced in the arts of battle would know that. But the fact that this creature had poison on its fangs, and possibly claws, would make things all the more difficult. Extending his arm, Toshiro pointed Hyorinmaru directly at the hollow approaching them. It let out a second roar.
Toshiro huffed silently, and tightened his grip on Hyorinmaru. He cast a swift glance back to Sakura before making a move. Just stay back for a while.. he thought though he knew the girl was likely to strike soon. Shunpo! Toshiro felt himself speed towards the creature, as he always did when using shunpo. Landing before the creature, he thrust outwards with Hyorinmaru...Something brushed against his wrist..Toshiro's eyes snapped downwards to see a large black gash extending over his lower arm. Poison indeed. he thought, kicking off of the hollow and landing back a few feet on his knees. Rising slowly, Toshiro flicked some of the hollow's blood off of his blade, and pointed it at the hollow.
Reign over the frozen heavens...Hyorinmaru! he shouted, a dragon of ice springing forth from the tip of his blade on command....

((lol ok I will! I willl just use the fighting thingy from the battle on Mystic... lol with the other hollow mesa' lazy -.-))
Sakura saw something catch her eyes. What is that? Its huge! This isn't going to be good... She jumped down to the ground next to Toshiro and she gave him a small smile. We have a big monster on our hands right now... Sakura said with a small chuckle. She rand her fingers through her pink hair as she watched the creature come closer. She pulled out three kunais. Sakura rejuvinated her chakara as Toshiro ran to attack the hollow. Good luck... Sakura thought and prayed for the boy. Sakura saw Toshiro get cut by the huge creature before her and her green eyes grew with fright, Get in there! we are not going to just stand here and let him fight alone! Hell no! With this thought Sakura prepared for her attack.
Sakura ran towards the creature, her hand doing the different hand signs of her jitsu. Kawarimi no Jutsu! Sakura yelled as she pushed off the ground with her feet. Sakura closed her eyes for a split second and when she reopened them she was behind the creature. Just as planned Sakura let go of her three kunais just as she was flying towards the great beast.
Just as her feet were about to reach the ground Sakura had felt a pain that she had never felt before coming from her leg. She went flying into a nearby tree as she reallized what had hit her. She saw the creatures tail a slight tinge of red on the tips of one of the spikes. Sakura groaned as she looked down at her leg. It had a gash in it. dang it... luckily I can heal... Sakrua looked up at Toshiro and gave him a look of "go finish it up" and she offered him a supporting smile.

((Lol. Okayzers..I'll kill it quick as possible..))
Toshiro flexed the fingers on his left hand slowly, wincing as a burning pain shot through his arm and hand. The tips of his fingers had grown numb by now, tingling slightly as if someone were pressing a needle to them. Great... he thought. It's already effecting me.. A roar of pain from the hollow brought his focuss back to the battle. His glare hardened once more as he watched Sakura get thrown against a tree. A steady trickle of blood was running down her legs. Flexing his fingers once more, this time ignoring the pain, Toshiro regripped his blade in his right hand, and drew a deep breath.
Sakura...Keep yourself covered, alright? It seems this one needs to be finished without any contact.. he said finally, stepping past the girl, responding to her smile with a swift nod.
Bankai! Daiguren.....Hyôrinmaru! he shouted as he met the hollow's mocking stare.
Ice shot out from Hyorinmaru's guard, twisting it's way up Toshiro's arm and off of his shoulders. Two large wings sprouted slowly, glistening in any stray beams of sunlight that had worked their way to the ground. His eyes seemed to drain of any of their remaining colour, now looking almost as pale as the ice Hyorinamru had generated. Toshiro twirled his katana over his right wrist once before lifting the blade up before his face.
Ryûsenka! His words left his mouth slowly as he moved his feet into a redied stance...
Toshiro kicked off of the ground, lunging towards the hollow. He thrust outwards with his sword, once more feeling the impact with the hollow. Cold blood squirted over his hand before freezing all together. Pulling his blade from the hollow, Toshiro looked up...It was incased in ice. Just like always.. he thought, feeling slighty relieved the hollow hadn't reacted in time. Closing his eyes, Toshiro listened to the sound of the ice shattering, as well was whatever lay within it. He resealed Hyorinmaru, allowing the ice to retract into the blade once more. Once done, he slowly sheathed his zampakuto. His eyes shifting back to their normal colour as he did so. That took more effort than planned... he thought, turning to face Sakura.
You alright? he asked finally, raising an eyebrow as he spoke.

Sakura leaned her head back against the tree as she felt pain surge through her legs. Darn it... why now... Sakura said as she closed her eyes in pain. I will endure this pain only untill Toshiro is done fighting... Sakura reopened her eyes as she heard the chattering of ice. What was that? Sakura realised what was happening as she saw Toshiro resheave his sword.
She slowly pushed her self off the tree and she limped over to Toshiro. She gave him a soft smile as he asked her of she was ok. Yeah... I am fine... come sit... I have something to help us... Sakura said as she lowered herself to the ground. She looked up at Toshiro and she smiled again. You have amazing fighting powers... Come sit and I will show you my powers! Sakura looked back up at Toshiro her eyes sparkled in the dull light and she watied for him to sit down next to her.

Toshiro raised an eyebrow slightly, but did as he was told. He folded his legs beneath him slowly, and sat on the ground, holding his left arm just above the wound. He'd heard about the effects of some poisons..And even studied them in his training days..But never before had he felt the effects. God did it hurt. It hurt like hell. Wincing, Toshiro looked down at the wound. The mark seemed to have grown some, his entire wrist and part of his forearm were turned a shade of black. He lifted his eyes from the wound at Sakura's compliment to him.
I wouldn't have been able to attain my rank without learning to fight well... he said, nodding to his haori that was draped around his shoulders. And staying at this rank isn't all that easy either..
Toshiro raised and eyebrow and looked over at Sakura. She was in a particularly happy mood appearently. Odd for just being injured...But who cares? he thought, pulling his teal eyes down to her own wounds. They didn't seem to be too deep..But yet they weren't exactly shallow either. Toshiro's right hand slipped down over his wound as he leaned back some to stare at any of the visible sky. A wave of pain rebounded up his arm. His eyes snapped shut as a reaction. Huffing and prying his eyes open, Toshiro released his hand from his left arm. Wonderful..You just had to be careless.

Sakura watched as Toshiro looked at his wound. That's a big wound... Sakura cwarled closer to the boy and she sat down again. She looked up to his face and she laughed. She then placed her hands in her lap and closed her eyes as she focused her chakara. This may hurt...just a little... Sakura said as she reopened her eyes. She pushed a pink lock of hair from her face as she reached out to his hurt arm. Sakura gently layed her hands over his wound and she let the green haze form aroound her hands and slowly form over his arm. She watched as his cut went from black to red and heal. Good... all the poison is out... Sakura finally removed her hands as the healing was over. There...all the poison is out and your arm is healed! Sakura said and offered him a small smile before she healed her own leg.
She did the same process to her leg and the wound went away. She then looked back up at Toshiro as she waited for a responce.

Toshiro shrugged as Sakura made a comment about the size of his wound while wiping a thin trail of blood off of his arm with his palm. His teal eyes were still focussed on the wound as Sakura lay her hands over it, and began to heal it. He winced a little at the touch, and at the feeling of her strange aurora seeping over his wound...The black slowly faded to a red...Then to a pink....Then it disappeared all together. Impressive...Reminds me of a sped up version of the fourth squadron.. he thought, bringing his eyes up to meet Sakura's own. He watched her heal her leg before pushing himself to his feet.
Domo arigato...But now...What are we going to do? he said finally, looking down at Sakura, an eyebrow raised.
As much as he hated to admit it, the white haired captain hadn't really thought that far ahead. What was next? More hollows? Another traveler? A town? Getting even more lost. Toshiro huffed, and pressed on the ground with his right foot. To his suprise, his toes sunk a little. For even though the top layer of dirt seemed to be dry and caked, the bottom layer of soil was obviously moist. Strange.. he thought. But yet, nothing around here isn't strange...We're probably still near that dreaded river. Toshiro nodded somewhat with his conclusion. Pulling himself out of his thoughts, he turned to Sakura once more, and extended a hand, offering to help her up.

Sakura grabed onto Toshiro's hand and she pulled herself up. She smiled and gave him a small bow. Thank you for killing that... well....what was that thing? Sakura asked as she furrowed her eyebrows trying to think of what had attacked. Sakura took her right hand and she curled it into a fist before she placed infront of her mouth as she nervously bit her knuckle. She then moved her hand away from her face and down to her side as she asked him another question. I have never seen anything like it before... have you?
Sakura shook her head at his question of what to do now. Sakura looked down to the forest floor as her pink hair fell over her face. I don't know... I just want to get out of here... Sakura said quietly as she looked back up to the boy infront of her. A strand of pink fluttered infront of her face as she gave him a small smile. Sakura reached up to her hair and she tightened her headband and she looked back to Toshiro. Man... I wish Kakashi-sensai were here... he would know what to do... even Naruto or Sasuke... Sakura then cracked her knuckles as she waited for a responce from Toshiro.

Toshiro just looked at Sakura for a moment, thinking about what she had said. As he had expected, she wasn't used to fighting such creatures. Nor was she used to his fighting style. No matter how much she tried to hide it, it was obious. He let out a slight sigh, and ran his fingers through his snow white hair.
That, was a hollow. They're sort of like lost souls. At least, that's what we call them where I come from. It's like my job to defeat them and send them to where they belong. he said finally, heaving a slight shrug as he spoke.
His teal eyes shone with a dull hollowness after he spoke. He watched silently as Sakura spoke of a man name Kakashi..And two others he assumed where her old comrades. So she's lost now..and wants to escape..I can't blame her there.. he thought, casting a swift glance to the tree tops.
I don't blame you for wanting to get out. This place isn't really all that "homely" as some would call it. he said, folding his slender arms over his chest.
Toshiro pulled his hands into his opposite arms' sleeves, sheilding them from whatever cold would befall them. Already the rays of sunlight that shone through the overhanging boughs were begining to fade. Already the forest was begining to grow dark and cold as it had, and would every night. A slight shudder rolled down his entire breadth. Toshiro tapped his right foot on the ground gently as he waited to hear more from Sakura.
